Posmodernity and new forms of religion
Main Article Content
Abstract
The aim of this article is to relate the postmodern concept to the emergence and permanence of the so-called New Religious Movements (NMR) in Europe, which arise as "identities of resistance" against the arrival of which will contribute to the creation of a new form of macrostructure. For this, a review of the literature of social scientists who have dealt with this relationship has been carried out. We conclude that the NRM are both a valid strategy to get out of the state of doubt and a form of comfort and shelter from the interconnectedness of globalization, new forms of communication, flexibility of boundaries and the crisis of the patriarchal family, creating a "collective us".
