Abstract
This book aims to claim the role of social psychologist Herta Herzog in communication studies, and to showcase her numerous contributions as a groundbreaking researcher of audiences, and television and radio serials. The book also highlights the role of Herzog as a forerunner of the uses and gratifications approach, as well as her work in market research. The authors reveal, and criticize, the shortage of traces left by “On borrowed experience” (a key paper by Herzog) in the Spanish-speaking academic world, thus presenting the book as a way of repairing an epistemic injustice.
